Our Website Master has been reviewing current financial membership through ASIS International. Currently we have 115 active memberships and each has been emailed with an update on accessing the Members Only area of the website.

The Chair and Chapter Executive Committee would like to extend their very best wishes for the festive season and are looking forward to an even better 2015.

A higher than usual turnout occurred at our AGM, 2 December 2014 hosted by Complex Institute of Education. The Chair and Executive Committee were returned unopposed! Your Executive Committee members are listed on the website under About Us.

The ASIS Victoria Australia Chapter currently has 114 financial members. We want to build this up to 150+ in 2015 which means current members need to renew and help us recruit new members who would benefit from membership.

With the Annual General Meeting pending on 2 December, the Executive Committee seeks your input to ensure our excellent progress as a Chapter continues. We encourage you to consider an active role on the Executive Committee or to hear your thoughts at the AGM.

The Office of the Commissioner for Privacy and Data Protection (Privacy and Data Protection Victoria) has replaced the Office of the Victorian Privacy Commissioner (Privacy Victoria).

Victoria Police provide a broad community information service for crime prevention including personal safety. Security professionals should echo the views of our police to ensure those who could be vulnerable in public places are suitably prepared.
