There are growing numbers of up and coming security professionals entering the industry as a first career. To meet the demands of these emerging careerists, ASIS International Australian Victoria Chapter has established the NextGen Group.

The group's core mission is to develop and educate young careerists in the security industry, through education, networking, and mentoring as part of the group’s activities, with a goal of developing confident, competent future security leaders.

The next generation of security professionals are typically defined as a member who is less than 40 years of age or who has spent fewer than five years in the security profession, we encourage participation from anyone passionate about this initiative, regardless of age or experience.

Our planned events vary from educational presentations to informal and social networking gatherings. We will always offer valuable opportunities to connect with other young careerists in the industry and often more experienced security industry leaders from diverse backgrounds who possess a broad spectrum of expertise interested in engaging in a mentoring relationship.
