Work Health and Safety - Officer Duty Guidance

Safe Work Australia has developed guidance materials for "officers" who are duty holders under OHS legislation. Although Victoria is currently not a signatory to the national approach there is good guidance to ensure OHS obligations are met.

An officer is someone whose influential role means they can do things to ensure the business has the resources and systems it needs to make work safe and comply with WHS laws. This means an officer can determine the success or failing of WHS measures and has specific obligations under OHS laws.
