Victoria Police SHIELD Initiative

Based upon the NYPD SHIELD program, through its Counter Terrorism Command Victoria Police is the first police force in Australia to introduce a SHIELD initiative. The initiative is effectively a collaboration between Victoria Police and the Victorian private security sector sharing information in addition to education in protective security concepts and responsibilities.

SHIELD publications form a key foundation for the initiative together with information
sharing that includes protective security recommendations, awareness videos and messaging with partners.

Registration is subject to a suitability check. Members of the Chapter are provided with information from VicPol that includes joining instructions. More information is available through the “Contact Us” section of this website.
