Revised Approach to Crime Statistics in Victoria
The Victorian Crime Statistics Agency (CSA) is an agency independent of Victoria Police responsible for processing, analysing and publishing Victorian crime statistics.
The CSA provides a range of crime data sources relative to different types of crime in Victoria including time and area on an interactive map.
Current data discloses a 6.2% increase in crime across the state albeit there is a downward trend in the number of young offenders aged 10 to 14 years.
An elaboration of data is available from the CSA website - http://www.crimestatistics.vic.gov.au/home
