Record Court Fines For Unsafe Workplaces

WorkSafe Victoria advise almost 130 businesses and individuals were fined a record amount by Victorian courts for breaching OHS laws.

The total amount of restitution where fines or orders were imposed totalled more than $6.2 million.

The fines and orders are a reminder to employers that the duties imposed under OHS legislation must be met otherwise substantial penalties may apply.
