Identifying Suspicious Persons and Activities

Security leaders should consider the benefits of a program within organisations that develop competence of staff in identifying suspicious persons and activities.

Content of a program should include an understanding of suspicious behaviour, responses to suspicious persons and activities, and reporting.

It is also important such a program explains what should not occur on detection of suspicious behaviour.  This includes approaching, apprehending or taking risks that may impact upon personal safety.

There are many resources freely available online that will assist with content of such a program.
