Gaol for Compensation Fraud

A truck driver who deceived his doctor into thinking he was re-training in security was sentenced to nine months gaol. Worksafe acted when they received an anonymous tip-off that the former car rental depot manager was working whilst receiving compensation for a workplace injury.

Even though the offender had moved from Epping to Bendigo, his fraudulent behaviour attracted attention of colleagues who effectively dobbed him in!  It is now apparent, even if he was completing a security course a security licence is not available.
