August 2015 Event Another Success

A gathering of 34 members and guests were both educated and entertained by our key speaker Mr Steve Van Aperen. The event was conducted at Complex Institute of Education and Steve exceeded expectations in a most practically delivered session.

The one hour session involved an understanding of micro facial expressions, reading body-language and concepts of evasion in responding to questions.  Steve explained how security leaders can benefit from questioning strategies that elicit true responses rather than deflections and avoidance.

After Steve's session members of the Chapter Executive explained the processes associated with ASIS Board Certification and its general global recognition.  

Overall the evening was another success and we are most grateful to our speakers and also Complex Institute of Education as the event sponsor providing the venue, finger food and refreshments.

Our next event is in November and involves psychological approaches to recruitment and dealing with difficult people. Mr Simon Brown-Greaves is well qualified to speak in this area.  See our Events page for details.
