Australian Workers’ Compensation Statistics 2017-18

The AWCS report provides data about workers’ compensation claims in Australia, including data broken down by sex, age, occupation and industry. This is important for risk assessors and those responsible for security, safety and risk in workplaces.

The three occupations with the highest rate of serious claims (per million hours worked) were:

1. Labourers
2. Community and personal service workers
3. Machinery operators and drivers
