ASIS Victoria Strongly Supports Our Security Industry

Media reporting associated with the Hotel Quarantine Inquiry suggests there are systemic failings, unethical conduct and incompetence across the private security industry. This generalisation tarnishes a highly professional industry, especially in Victoria where there are around 33,500 individual licence holders and 800 security firms across the State as consultants/advisers, technicians, installers, equipment supply, monitoring and various guarding and crowd control services.

ASIS Victoria Australia Chapter believes some of the reporting is unfair and fails to recognise the outstanding work performed on a daily basis by security professionals across most industry and professional sectors.  We make no comment about the current Inquiry and look forward to its outcomes irrespective of favour.

ASIS Victoria Australia Chapter through its Executive Committee strongly supports the security industry.
