ASIS International Support for Bushfire Victims

The Chapter has received a letter of support from ASIS International co-signed by President Godfried Hendriks CPP and CEO Peter J. O’Neil, FASAE CAE. The Chapter is appreciative of their thoughts and support on behalf of ASIS members worldwide.

In part the letter is reproduced below:

On behalf of the ASIS International Board of Directors, your thousands of colleagues around the world, and the headquarters staff, please accept our sincere condolences for the tragic loss of life and destruction caused by the recent fires in Australia.

 We recognize the recent fires in Australia have caused immense devastation:  ravaging nearly 16 million acres particularly in NSW and Victoria, Australia and cited as one of the worst fires in history. 

 It is times like these that demonstrate the true value of the ASIS member network; we are proud to stand with you and prepared to assist in any way we can. We firmly hope that all ASIS members in your chapters and their families are safe.

 Please extend to all of them our thoughts and prayers.

We are pleased to advise a number of Chapter members have made substantial donations in support of the Australian bushfire victims.
