What is “Reasonably Practicable” in Workplace Safety?

Safe work Australia has published a guide to assist employers and other key stakeholders understand the term “reasonably practicable” in workplace health and safety.

The guide provides information on the standard of health and safety that a person conducting a business or undertaking must meet under relevant workplace safety legislation. Although Victoria is not yet a signatory to the national approach under the auspices of Safe Work Australia the guide provides for key steps in ensuring a reasonably practicable approach in identifying and minimising workplace hazards and risks.
