Decoding the Cybersecurity Landscape
Cybersecurity has become a major concern for C-level executives and boards due to the increase in cyber incidents, privacy concerns, regulation, and heightened focus on cyber by audit & compliance functions. From a defensive standpoint, the latest threats that organisations have to deal with are constantly evolving.

Ian Yip - Ian has worked with organisations globally on Cyber Security initiatives and projects, particularly in the areas of Strategy & Transformation, Identity & Access Management, Data Protection, Threat Management, Governance, Risk & Compliance, and API Management.
He has held a variety of leadership, advisory, sales, marketing, product management, consulting, and technical roles across Europe and Asia Pacific in some of the world's leading companies, including McAfee, Ernst & Young, IBM, CA Technologies and NetIQ.
In addition to being a published author, Ian has built, led and managed teams with multi-million dollar sales, operational and delivery targets, defined and executed go-to-market strategies based on market analysis & needs, set corporate & product strategy, brought new products to market, delivered major cyber transformation programs & engagements, delivered keynote presentations at industry & corporate events, been interviewed & quoted in the media (print and television), and contributed articles to a variety of publications.
Paul Hawkins will present on how security governance works in a rapidly changing cloud world & how people can adjust to it.
This session covers how customers can enable business agility by evolving their governance approach to run at the speed of cloud. It focuses on a large bank and how they started their cloud journey and progressed to running regulated workloads. Paul will provide case studies on providing practical guidance for customers at every stage of their cloud journey
Paul has more than 15 years of information security experience with a significant part of that working with financial services. He has a highly technical background with proven experience in building relationships, scoping and delivering complex projects, and helping business stakeholders understand the benefits of a pragmatic security approach. He works with all customers at AWS from start-ups to the largest enterprise customers to improve their security, risk, and compliance in the cloud.
