ASIS Victoria Members – Speak About the Future of Security

ASIS Victoria Chapter has representation on the Victorian Security Industry Advisory Council (VSIAC) and seeks input from our members.

VSIAC also comprises representatives from Victoria Police, the Department of Justice and other peak industry bodies including ASIAL and the Office of the Minister for Police and Emergency Services. Your Chapter representatives provide input to the Council on your behalf. Therefore, it is important our collective voice is adequately heard about issues in security that need to be addressed. In our recent Executive Committee meeting issues relating to the adequacy of industry training, professional development of security staff, activities by consultants and regulation of in-house security guards were discussed. Your Committee intends providing a written submission to the Council with an intention to encouraging the Minister to make suitable enhancements across the security regulatory framework.
